About Peace and Quiet

Peace and Quiet (also called PQ) is an Alliance guild based on Azjol-Nerub (EU). We are a clique of fairly experienced players and raiders. One of our main goals as a guild is to experience all of the existing content without sacrificing the inherent fun of the game. We're a mature group which accepts that with so much else going on in our lives, we have to make the best use we can of our raid times.

Many of us have experience of managing and belonging to large raiding guilds. With the advent of 10-person progression in Wrath of the Lich King the opportunity for far smaller and more focussed guilds. Along with its axioms, this is what Peace and Quiet is about.

Three Axioms

The guild has three axioms, universally accepted principles.

Being In PQ Should Be Fun
“If you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong.”
- Groucho Marx

PQ Considers People First
PQ members are treated as people, not as some function of their characters. They are not there simply to fulfill some sort of raid role.

PQ Promotes Fairness
The guild has shared goals, every single member has equal opportunities for involvement.

Specifics

  • We raid on varying weekday nights, using UK time, 8pm until 11pm.
  • No week will ever have more than three official raid nights.
  • Nobody is expected to raid three times a week. Once or twice is plenty.
  • Raid nights are always announced at least a week in advance.
  • Each player is allowed up to three Character/Spec Combinations (CSCs) in the guild.
  • Each CSC is treated equally. There is no Main/Alt distinction in PQ.
  • There are no non-raiding characters in the guild.
  • Peace and Quiet will never be organising 25-player content.
  • PQ's maximum size is 19 players.
  • There are no DKP or loot points, items are rolled using the game's built in need/greed system.
